Apple Deploys iOS 27.0.1 to Fix iPhone 18 Pro Face ID Crashes
Apple released iOS 27.0.1 on September 28, 2026, to address critical stability issues introduced in the iOS 27 launch two weeks prior. The update primarily targets the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, resolving a bug where failed Face ID authentication caused devices to freeze and restart. Additional fixes address color artifacts in 2x zoom photography and touchscreen unresponsiveness when opening Notification and Control Centers simultaneously. Apple also released corresponding updates for iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and visionOS, as well as security patches for older iOS 26 and macOS 26 devices.
