Disney Plans Aquamarine TV Pilot With Emma Roberts as Guest Star
Disney+ is moving Aquamarine from film to TV with a pilot order for a new series, featuring Emma Roberts as a guest star (and executive producer). The project, from The Bold Type creator Sarah Watson and director Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum, assembles Susan Cartsonis as an executive producer, reimagining the 2006 film as a teen-mermaid mystery. The story centers on Coral, who uncovers her mother’s disappearance and discovers mermaid secrets and magical powers.
