Tishman Speyer to invest $235m in Chrysler Building restoration and lease
Tishman Speyer has secured a 150-year ground lease for the Chrysler Building, committing $235 million to restore the Art Deco icon and modernize its interiors. The deal resolves years of financial instability for the property and provides critical funding for Cooper Union’s goal of restoring full-tuition scholarships for undergraduates by 2028-2029.
