ÉTS Leads Day 2 at Electrek Formula Sun Grand Prix as ASC Qualifying Intensifies
Day 2 of the Electrek Formula Sun Grand Prix sees ÉTS (Québec) leading the Single Occupant Vehicle class with 234 laps, narrowly ahead of Delft University of Technology at 221 laps, with Delft also owning the fastest 3.1‑mile lap (3:12) at ~58 mph. In the Multi-Occupant Vehicle class, only two of nine teams have qualified for the ASC so far: Georgia Tech (160 laps) and App State (146). ASC qualification requires either 200 miles in one day or 300 miles across two consecutive days, with MOV rankings determined by an S-value that balances speed, laps, and person-miles against a target pace. A final day is underway, and teams such as Iowa State, Poly Montréal, and MIT are expected to contend for ASC qualification as results continue to trickle in.
