Xbox Forms 'Labs' Unit to Formalize AI-Driven Game Porting and Web Experiments
Xbox CEO Asha Sharma has announced the creation of Xbox Labs, a new internal team dedicated to testing emerging technologies like AI-assisted game porting and web-based distribution. The unit, led by CTO Scott Van Vliet, consists of existing staff and aims to experiment with tools that allow games to run on non-native hardware, such as Apple Silicon or web browsers, without disrupting current business models.
