Hayes Names 26-Player USWNT Squad for October Spain Friendlies
Emma Hayes has named a 26-player roster for the U.S. Women’s National Team ahead of two friendly matches against Spain in October. The squad features the return of 2024 Olympic champions Naomi Girma and Sam Coffey, alongside NWSL leading scorer Ashley Sanchez. Three uncapped players—Trinity Byars, Pietra Tordin, and Evelyn Shores—make their senior debuts, while Mallory Swanson returns from injury but is now listed as a midfielder. The team will train in Georgia before facing the reigning World Cup champions in Washington, D.C., and Pennsylvania.
