NASA Unveils Historic Asteroid Sample: Watch Live
NASA will reveal the asteroid dirt and gravel collected by its OSIRIS-REx mission during a webcast today. The $1.2 billion mission successfully landed on the near-Earth asteroid Bennu in October 2020 and returned to Earth last month with a sample. The material is now being processed and curated at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston, where it will be studied for clues about the early solar system and the origins of life on Earth. The webcast will also provide early results from the analysis of the asteroid material.
