
Vacuum-Train Fire Disrupts Manhattan Subway, 14 Injured
A fire on a maintenance vacuum train at the Astor Place station in Lower Manhattan injured 14 people and disrupted service on the Lexington Avenue Line for several hours; eight MTA workers and six firefighters were among the injured.
