Microsoft is removing 18 games from Xbox Game Pass in September 2026, with the second wave of eight titles exiting on September 30. This follows an earlier removal of 10 titles, marking a significant rotation for the service.
Microsoft confirmed the second wave of September 2026 Xbox Game Pass removals, with eight titles leaving the service on September 30. The departing games include Atomfall, Little Nightmares II, Sifu, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, Little Rocket Lab, Sopa - The Tale of the Stolen Potato, Sworn, and Terminull Brigade. This brings the total number of games leaving Game Pass in September to 18, following an earlier batch of 10 titles removed on September 15. While these removals are significant, the service is simultaneously adding major day-one releases, including Minecraft Dungeons II and Gears of War: E-Day, in late September and early October.
Rebellion has announced that their upcoming action-survival game, Atomfall, will be released on March 27, 2025, for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC, and will be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one. Inspired by the UK's 1957 Windscale nuclear disaster, the game involves exploring a quarantine zone in the Lake District. A Deluxe Edition with additional content and early access is also available for pre-order. Atomfall's release follows the recent announcement of Sniper Elite: Resistance joining Xbox Game Pass.
