
Selfie and ammo found as WHCD shooting suspect faces federal charges
Prosecutors released court filings with new images showing California man Cole Tomas Allen taking a selfie and carrying a bag of ammunition before allegedly rushing a security checkpoint with a shotgun at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. A Secret Service agent fired five times; Allen was restrained and arrested. He faces federal charges including attempted assassination of the president, interstate transportation of firearms and ammunition with intent to commit a felony, and discharge of a firearm during a violent crime.
