Arrests follow massive 200-vehicle Long Island street takeover
Suffolk County police broke up a street takeover involving roughly 200 ATVs, dirt bikes and motorcycles on Route 347 in Hauppauge, with officers arresting three people as the crowd dispersed to Brentwood and Bay Shore; one suspect fled on foot and was found to be carrying a loaded gun. The three arrestees are Ava Mongiello, 23, of Mount Sinai; Jahkil Arroyo, 29, of Central Islip; and Shamir Solomon, 22, of Roosevelt, who face charges including reckless driving, second-degree reckless endangerment, unlawful fleeing a police officer, and weapon possession, with about 10 vehicles impounded.
