Wall Street awaits inflation and jobs data, stocks little changed
Stock futures were relatively unchanged as Wall Street prepared for the final days of a challenging August. The Dow Jones Industrial Average futures gained 15 points, while S&P 500 futures and Nasdaq 100 futures hovered near the flat line. Despite a positive day on Wall Street, with the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite climbing 0.6% and 0.8% respectively, the major indexes are on track to end August with losses. Investors are closely watching earnings reports from companies such as Best Buy and Nio, as well as data on home prices, job openings, and consumer confidence. In the fixed income market, investors are advised to stay put, as yields are at levels not seen since the global financial crisis.
