Microsoft Launches Auto Super Resolution to Boost Gaming Performance

Microsoft's Auto Super Resolution (Auto SR) feature, which boosts game frame rates using AI, is not exclusive to Qualcomm's Snapdragon chips or specific games, despite initial indications. Qualcomm clarified that Auto SR is a Microsoft feature and could be available on other technologies meeting Microsoft's performance standards. While currently integrated with Windows on Copilot+ PCs, future compatibility with AMD and Intel chips remains uncertain. Microsoft has yet to fully explain Auto SR's workings or its potential as a competitor to Nvidia DLSS, AMD FSR, and Intel XeSS.
