EU Implements Sanctions: No More Aircraft Engine Exports to Belarus
The European Union has agreed to ban the export of battlefield equipment and aviation parts to Belarus as part of expanded sanctions against the country for its involvement in Russia's war against Ukraine. The decision, which is still pending finalization, includes a blacklist of individuals and covers dual-use battlefield and aviation goods. Aircraft engines and their parts are among the exports affected by the new sanctions. The approval of all 27 EU member countries is required for the introduction of wider restrictions targeting the Belarusian industry.
