Roche bets on tri-specific B-cell therapy in $1.53B licensing deal
Roche agreed to pay $75 million upfront and up to $1.53 billion in total payments for exclusive global rights to SIM0660, a preclinical trispecific antibody targeting CD79a, CD19 and CD3 designed to recruit T cells against B-cell–mediated diseases while aiming to limit cytokine release. The deal broadens Roche’s licensing activity and continues Simcere Zaiming’s pattern of biobucks-driven partnerships, with the asset potentially relevant for patients who have received CD20/CD19-directed therapies and for autoimmune conditions.
