Intel Arc G3 Debuts for Handheld Gaming PCs With 14-Core Panther Lake Design
Intel has officially announced the Arc G3 mobile CPU family for handheld gaming PCs, introducing the Arc G3 Extreme and Arc G3 built on a 14‑core Panther Lake design (2 P‑cores, 8 E‑cores, 4 LP E‑cores). The G3 Extreme reaches up to 4.7 GHz, while the G3 tops out at 4.6 GHz, with base clocks of 1.9 GHz and 1.5 GHz respectively. The integrated iGPU shifts to the Arc B370 (10 Xe cores at 2.2 GHz, ~90 TOPs Int8, vs 113 TOPs for the B390), and both variants share a 25 W base power, up to 80 W turbo, and 15 W minimum. They support up to 12 PCIe lanes and XeSS 3 features, plus connectivity like Thunderbolt 4, Wi‑Fi 7, and Bluetooth 6. OEMs can begin shipping in June 2026, with broader availability later in 2026; Acer’s Predator Atlas 8 handheld is slated to use the G3 Extreme (launching in October 2026).
