Morgan’s Supersport 400 fuses classic Morgan styling with a tuned BMW B58 engine to deliver ~396 hp and 369 lb-ft, sending power to the rear via a ZF 8-speed automatic (open diff, optional LSD). It uses a bonded aluminum structure wrapped around an ash wood core, rides on lighter 19-inch wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tires, and starts at about $152,000. Production is planned in the UK with May start, while US availability remains uncertain amid Morgan’s emissions/tariff challenges.

A90 Supra's BMW Engine Outperforms Legendary 2JZ.

Papadakis Racing's successful drift Supra is powered by a BMW B58 inline-six engine, which has proven to be strong, reliable, and capable of producing around 1,200 horsepower with minimal modifications. The engine has required little continued development since 2019, with the biggest change being to the cylinder head. While the Toyota 2JZ engine is legendary, the B58 engine's technology has advanced and offers huge power potential with few modifications.
