BMW has confirmed powertrain details for the new M350 xDrive, the top-tier combustion engine model in the next-generation 3 Series. The vehicle features a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six engine producing 443 horsepower and 428 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system. It achieves 0-62 mph in 4.1 seconds. A key innovation is 'Drift Moment,' a rear-wheel-drive mode arriving via over-the-air update in 2027, allowing the car to simulate pure rear-drive dynamics despite its standard all-wheel-drive setup. The car shares the Neue Klasse design language with the electric i3 but retains distinct mechanical advantages for combustion engines.
