Tesla Recalls 200,000 Vehicles for Rearview Camera Issues
Tesla is recalling 200,000 vehicles, including 2023 versions of Model S, Model X, and Model Y, due to a software glitch affecting rearview cameras, marking its 15th recall in the past year. The company has released a free over-the-air software update and plans to mail owner notification letters in March 2024. Tesla also anticipates slower sales and increased competition from Chinese electric vehicle maker BYD, with CEO Elon Musk focusing on a cheaper next-generation electric vehicle possibly not available until the second half of 2025, as the company's market valuation has dropped by $210 billion in January.
