Microsoft is celebrating Xbox's 25th anniversary with a limited-time profile badge available to sign-ins on console, PC, or the mobile app through the end of 2026, along with a dynamic background, gamerpic, and theme, plus a curated Game Pass collection and the Xbox FanFest tour starting at Gamescom.
Google is testing a prominent badge for RCS conversations in its Messages app. The badge appears on the homescreen and shows the Message icon in the bottom-right corner of profile avatars for RCS conversations, including group and individual. This move is part of Google's effort to more explicitly label RCS in Messages and associate the Messages logo with RCS from a branding perspective. The RCS badge is currently being tested on the latest beta release of Google Messages.
