Dramatic Videos Capture EF-2 Tornado Devastating South Carolina Town
A surveillance video captured the terrifying moment an EF-2 tornado tore through Main Highway in Bamberg, South Carolina, causing significant damage to businesses and buildings dating back to the late 1800s. The tornado, with maximum winds of 125 mph, was on the ground for 2 minutes, leaving a path of destruction 500 yards wide. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but the downtown area remains closed as engineers assess the safety of the buildings. Tornadoes from the same system also caused fatalities in Florida, Alabama, and Georgia.
