BambooHR Data Shows 9-17% Spike in PTO Requests for GTA 6 Launch Day
BambooHR reports that paid time off requests for November 19, the release date of Grand Theft Auto VI, are running 9 to 17 percent above historical averages. The human resources software provider analyzed data from active US employees and found this trend consistent across all measurable checkpoints. While the company cannot definitively link the spike solely to the video game, it describes the increase as a real and reproducible signal. Grand Theft Auto VI launches on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on that date, accompanied by a physical album featuring 34 songs. A full playthrough of the game can take approximately 80 hours, potentially extending the time off into the following weekend.
