Barrasso: White House press ban doesn’t violate the Constitution
Sen. John Barrasso, a Wyoming Republican, downplayed claims that Trump’s ban on Politico, MS NOW and CNN from White House coverage violates the Constitution, saying the press must report fairly and that the move is unlikely to affect upcoming midterm elections. The ban drew swift criticism from outlets and press groups who say it challenges First Amendment protections, while Barrasso defended the president’s stance and noted the press’s duty to report fairly.
