Multiple Brush Fires Contained in Southeast Austin, Home Evacuations in Bastrop Wildfire
A wildfire near Bastrop State Park in Texas has prompted the evacuation of homes as a precautionary measure. The fire, known as the Powder Keg Pine Fire, is estimated to be 30 acres in size and is currently 10% contained. Multiple units from the Austin Fire Department and other Travis County ESDs have been sent as mutual aid. No injuries or damage to homes have been reported so far, and authorities are urging people to avoid the area.
