Hailee Steinfeld, who is pregnant and missed the Oscars, watched the ceremony to cheer on her Sinners cast as the film won four awards (Best Actor Michael B. Jordan, Best Original Score Ludwig Göransson, Best Original Screenplay Ryan Coogler, and Best Cinematography Autumn Durald Arkapaw). She shared in her Beau Society newsletter that she cried through the night and celebrated her Sinners family.
