Calm Winds, Safe Ground: Balloon Lands in Temecula Backyard
A hot-air balloon operated by Magical Adventures Balloon Rides landed gently in a Temecula backyard after winds went becalmed, leaving the pilot unable to reach the planned landing site. The crew unloaded passengers, refueled, and used drop lines to lift and move the balloon to the street for deflation. The owner says such a backyard landing is very rare, and despite the unusual event, passengers reportedly want to fly again with the same pilot. Ground crews followed with chase vehicles to ensure a safe recovery.
