Labor Day Belltown shooting suspect freed from jail days earlier, records reveal

Seattle police say 44-year-old Theaellis Hall was arrested for the Sept. 6 fatal shooting of 23-year-old Tionna Simpson in Belltown, a Labor Day weekend killing that followed Hall’s Sept. 3 release from a domestic-violence case. Records show Hall has three prior felony convictions, and investigators tied the gun to a dark blue Chevy Malibu registered to him with aid from a tip about his girlfriend. Hall remains jailed on a $4 million bail as prosecutors consider murder charges; Simpson’s family says her six-month-old daughter will grow up without her mother.
