October 14 marks next Social Security payment wave for early-month birthdays
The Social Security Administration is distributing October benefits according to its standard Wednesday schedule. Recipients born between the 1st and 10th of any month will receive payments on October 14. Those born between the 11th and 20th will be paid on October 21, while those born after the 20th will receive funds on October 28. Individuals who began receiving benefits before May 1997 or those receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI) already received their payments on October 2 due to weekend scheduling conflicts. SSI recipients will receive their next payment on October 30. These payments generally cover benefits owed for September, not October.
