New renderings reveal a Walton-family-backed STEM campus in downtown Bentonville, designed by BIG and Polk Stanley Wilcox, with three initial buildings totaling about 422,000 square feet—a 147,525-square-foot academic building, a 130,614-square-foot makerspace and a 400-bed residence hall—on the former Walmart Home Office site. The campus will be connected by a historic rail corridor and aims to open its first class in 2029 with tuition coverage in the early years, reflecting Walton-led efforts to blend academia with industry and reflect Ozark architectural influences.
