Lawsuit Alleges Hostile Environment and Firearm Incident on Brubaker's Criminal Set
A production assistant on the series Criminal has filed a California lawsuit against Amazon MGM Studios and Big Indie Pictures, accusing showrunner Ed Brubaker of sexual and racial harassment, religious discrimination, and assault, including an alleged incident where Brubaker briefly pointed a working firearm at the assistant’s face. The suit also claims retaliation, firing, and being barred from the set, with the employer defendants failing to investigate the misconduct; Noohu’s employment ended in 2024 and he wasn’t credited on the production. Amazon MGM previously ordered the series in 2024.
