Broadway’s ‘The Imaginary Invalid’ Revival Fails to Amuse Critics
Roundabout Theatre Company’s revival of Molière’s 'The Imaginary Invalid' opened on Broadway on October 22, 2026, at the Todd Haimes Theatre. Adapted by Tony winner Bill Irwin and directed by Brandon J. Dirden, the 85-minute production features a star-studded cast including Rachel Bloom, Dylan Baker, and Brooks Ashmanskas. Despite high-profile talent, critics widely panned the show for its lack of humor, awkward pacing, and overwrought performances. The production is scheduled to run through November 22, 2026.
