Texas Embraced Taylor Sheridan, Hollywood Didn't, Thornton Says
Billy Bob Thornton says Hollywood wasn’t nice to Taylor Sheridan, but Texas welcomed him. Sheridan, who once lived in his car, has since built a vast Texas ranching empire (over 250,000 acres including the Four Sixes Ranch and Bosque Ranch) and created hit shows such as Yellowstone, Mayor of Kingstown, Landman and Lioness. Thornton credits Sheridan’s authenticity and says the Texas environment fuels his storytelling, contrasting his LA experience with the real-life world Sheridan now draws on for his writing.
