Billy Evans, husband of convicted fraudster Elizabeth Holmes, is facing intense scrutiny over his new startup, Haemanthus, which aims to bring blood testing to homes. While Evans insists the company is not a repeat of Theranos, critics point to the similar business model and the couple's recent appearance in the acclaimed documentary 'You Can See Everything.'
Elizabeth Holmes, the former CEO of Theranos, is scheduled to transfer from a federal prison in Bryan, Texas, to a halfway house in Del Valle in August 2027. Her full release date has been advanced to February 2030 following a sentence reduction. This move coincides with the release of a new documentary and a public interview by her husband, Billy Evans, who disputes the public narrative of her conviction.
Billy Evans defended the release of the documentary 'You Can See Everything' on the 'All-In' podcast, arguing it allows the public to form independent opinions about Elizabeth Holmes. He admitted Holmes appears 'insane' in the trailer but maintained the film’s intent was to show her in a natural setting. The documentary, which documents the 34 days before Holmes’s imprisonment, has received critical acclaim but intensified public distrust of her.
A new documentary, 'You Can See Everything,' premieres in US theaters, offering an unfiltered look at Elizabeth Holmes in the final 34 days before her 2023 prison sentence. The film features a full-frontal nude scene of her partner, Billy Evans, and captures Holmes's emotional breakdown while watching a dramatization of her life. Critics praise the 174-minute film for its psychological depth, though it has sparked controversy, including a threatened legal action from Melania Trump.
Elizabeth Holmes' husband Billy Evans visited her in federal prison, along with her parents, for a seven-hour visit. Holmes was visibly shaken and cried during much of the visit, breaking prison protocol by holding onto Evans's finger as they walked. The family purchased snacks from a vending machine and were seen snacking on Honeybuns and cinnamon rolls. This is the family's first visit of a possible 572, as they are able to see her once a week during her 11-year sentence for defrauding investors out of $945 million through her company Theranos.
