IKEA to Swap 317,000-Sq-Ft Bolingbrook Store for Smaller Naperville Hub in 2027
IKEA will close its 317,000-square-foot Bolingbrook store in late 2027 to open a smaller, 97,079-square-foot location in Naperville’s Block 59 development. The new store, part of a national shift to compact formats, will include a Swedish Deli and Food Market. While IKEA cites better access to growing population centers, some shoppers have expressed opposition to the move. The Naperville location will replace existing tenants like Ulta Beauty and Discovery Clothing Co., which are relocating within the Brixmor-owned complex.
