Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement has appeared on Nintendo Switch listings, and 505 Games’ LinkedIn page suggests an unannounced Switch 2 title, hinting at a potential Switch 2 release or related project from 505 Games.
Shutaro Iida, director at ArtPlay known for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, died of cancer at 52 after a battle that began in October 2024. He was a key figure in the forthcoming Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement, which is now in its final stages. Koji Igarashi and ArtPlay say they will honor his legacy and complete the project, while asking supporters to refrain from condolence visits, gifts, or tributes to the company or family.
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night's new DLC, "Classic II: Dominique’s Revenge," will launch on June 11 for all platforms. This premium content features retro gameplay with a larger map, more enemies, and a new storyline that continues from where the main game ends. Players will explore a massive new map, acquire new abilities, and interact with friendly demons, but must beware of the changing moon.
