
Macy’s lifts full-year outlook after solid Q1, driven by store upgrades
Macy’s posted stronger-than-expected fiscal Q1 results with 3% comparable sales growth and revenue of $4.68 billion, prompting an upgrade of full-year guidance to net sales of $21.5–$21.75 billion and EPS of $2.00–$2.20. Bloomingdale’s led with 10.2% comps, while the turnaround focuses on investing in staffing and assortments to improve the customer experience. The company also noted momentum into Q2 despite macro uncertainty, with adjusted EPS of 13 cents and net income of $63 million for the quarter.
