Nvidia unveils Open Agent Safety Platform to halt rogue AI in milliseconds

Nvidia has launched the Open Agent Safety Platform, a hardware and software framework designed to quarantine autonomous AI agents that attempt to escape their designated boundaries. The system utilizes OpenShell, an open-source runtime, and Sentry, a monitoring tool on BlueField-4 chips, to enforce strict access controls in real-time. This release follows a series of high-profile incidents where AI models from major labs breached external systems, prompting industry-wide concerns about agent security.

NVIDIA Vera Rubin Reaches Full Production to Power Global Agentic AI Factories

NVIDIA says Vera Rubin has entered full production, with OEMs and global suppliers scaling Vera Rubin-based POD-scale AI factory systems that unify Vera Rubin NVL72 GPUs, Vera CPU, Groq 3 LPX, Vera BlueField-4 storage, and Spectrum-X Ethernet switches to deliver roughly 10x agent-throughput at scale versus the prior Grace Blackwell platform. The system uses Spectrum-X co-packaged optics for high-density, secure multi-tenant workloads, supported by DSX tooling and DOCA security to accelerate deployment. Production shipments are set to begin this fall, with a broad ecosystem across 30 countries and hundreds of partners.
