Illinois boater in DUI crash at 80 mph decapitates woman on Fox River
A drunk Illinois boater with a history of DUI crashed his 31-foot pontoon into a smaller boat on the Fox River in McHenry County, traveling as fast as 80 mph and decapitating a 48-year-old woman while injuring her husband. Authorities say the driver, Richard Stevenson, 45, had a BAC about 0.200 and multiple prior DUI-related offenses. He was jailed on reckless-homicide and aggravated-DUI charges ahead of his trial; two other passengers had left the scene.
