Bob Costello, a lawyer with ties to the MAGA movement, testified before a Manhattan grand jury on Monday, attempting to shift blame for the Stormy Daniels hush money payment from Donald Trump to Michael Cohen. Costello, who has acted as a backchannel between Cohen and the Trump White House, portrayed Cohen as a desperate liar willing to do anything to avoid prison. While Costello's testimony is unhelpful for securing an indictment, the Manhattan DA's office doesn't seem fazed by his last-minute hurrah. The New York Police Department is gearing up for a potential Trump indictment this week.
