iPhone 18 Pro Sparks Android’s Borderless-Display Trend
The iPhone 18 Pro’s push toward a notch- and punch-hole-free, under-display Face ID plus a liquid-glass-inspired UI is accelerating Android manufacturers (Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Honor, Huawei, OnePlus and others) to adopt borderless displays and similar aesthetics. Google says Android won’t fully adopt Liquid Glass, but the trend is spreading across Android skins (and even Samsung) toward a more Apple-like look, risking a more homogenized smartphone landscape while leaving room for user customization.
