Dolly Parton’s Posthumous Track Debuts on Stanley Brothers Tribute Album
Dolly Parton’s first posthumous recording, a 2022 cover of Bound To Ride, surfaces on YouTube ahead of the Stanley Brothers tribute album Where the Soul Never Dies: Celebrating 80 Years of the Stanley Brothers (out Oct. 16). The track features Parton, who died Aug. 25 after a secret cancer battle, recorded in her personal studio, with the album alsoFeaturing Willie Nelson, Sierra Ferrell, Dierks Bentley with Della Mae, Steve Martin and Ed Helms among others; Parton had been working up until her death, including on the Broadway production Dolly: A True Original Musical.
