Bow Mar Approves Gate Construction After Car Found in Lake
Bow Mar, Colorado, has unanimously approved the construction of a controlled-access gate at one of its main entrances to address safety concerns from through-traffic. The decision follows a traffic study showing 1,200 daily vehicles passing through a town of 950 residents, with most drivers not living locally. Although Denver and Littleton opposed the plan, urging collaboration, a recent discovery of a car in Bowles Lake renewed local pressure for action. The first gate is expected to be installed by Thanksgiving, with operations beginning in mid-January, though specific operating hours remain undecided.
