Missouri man breaks world record with after-work fishing catch.
Mitchell Dering, a man from Missouri, broke the state and world record for the largest brown bullhead fish caught while bowfishing. He caught the 4-pound fish in Duck Creek Ditch #105 and had it weighed on a certified scale the next day. Dering, who has won several tournaments in Kentucky and Tennessee, plans to mount the fish and hopes to break more records in the future. Duck Creek Conservation Area and nearby Mingo National Wildlife Refuge are the only confirmed locations with a self-sustaining natural population of brown bullheads.
