Gabriel Georges powers Baylor past Brentwood Academy in season opener
No. 12 Baylor (Chattanooga, Tenn.) opened its 2026 season with a 38-20 win over No. 13 Brentwood Academy on ESPN2 behind 173 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns from five-star David Gabriel Georges, who added 70 receiving yards. Keegan Croucher threw for 172 yards and a TD in his Baylor debut after transferring from Connecticut, while freshman Marshall Manning saw his first varsity action. Baylor led 17-13 in the fourth before Georges extended the lead with two more scores; Brentwood answered briefly, but Baylor pulled away to the final margin. The win extends Baylor’s six-game winning streak against Brentwood, five of which were by one score.
