Worship music icon Brian Doerksen dies at 60 after cancer battle
Canadian worship leader Brian Doerksen died at 60 in Abbotsford four days after announcing a stage 4 cancer diagnosis, dying peacefully in his sleep at home. He is survived by his wife Joyce and six adult children, all of whom have Fragile X syndrome. Doerksen released more than 30 albums and wrote hits like Purify My Heart, helping shape Vineyard Worship and global worship music.
