Comedian Carrot Top Released After Suicide Attempt Amid Extortion Lawsuit
Comedian Carrot Top, born Scott Thompson, has been released from the hospital following a suicide attempt on September 18, 2026. The 61-year-old performer was hospitalized in Las Vegas after overdosing on prescription pills. His legal team links the crisis to an ongoing extortion lawsuit involving former opening act Brian Evans, who allegedly threatened to release private material unless paid. While Thompson is recovering, his Las Vegas residency has been canceled, and court filings detail a dispute over alleged sexual misconduct and blackmail.
