Two bodies recovered from Beaufort County rivers, autopsies pending
Two bodies were recovered from northern Beaufort County waterways—Chowan Creek and the Broad River—by deputies responding to calls. Authorities say the deaths aren’t believed to be connected; autopsies are pending and identities will be released after next-of-kin notification.
