New Orleans Saints Release Wide Receiver Bryan Edwards
The New Orleans Saints have waived wide receiver Bryan Edwards, a former third-round pick who joined the team this offseason. Edwards was on a non-guaranteed $1.1 million deal and did not make the 53-man roster. He will now have the opportunity to find a spot elsewhere, potentially on a practice squad. The Saints' receiving corps includes Chris Olave, Michael Thomas, Rashid Shaheed, Tre'Quan Smith, Lynn Bowden, and rookie A.T. Perry. Edwards had previously played for the Raiders and Falcons before joining the Saints.
