Blue Jays Promote Chad Dallas to MLB, Fortify Injury-Heavy Rotation
The Toronto Blue Jays selected the contract of right-hander Chad Dallas, adding him to the active roster, while sending Hayden Juenger to Triple-A Buffalo and designating Tanner Andrews for assignment to clear 40-man space. Dallas, a 26-year-old former prospect who returned from Tommy John surgery this year, has pitched 36 innings for Buffalo with a 4.50 ERA and a 24.1% strikeout rate. With an injury-depleted rotation, the Jays need depth and Dallas could provide bulk innings now, potentially carving out a future relief role before returning to Buffalo.
