F1 Commits to Decade-Long African Grand Prix in Rwanda
Formula 1 and the Rwandan government have finalized a 10-year agreement to host the African Grand Prix, marking the sport's return to the continent for the first time since 1993. The inaugural race is scheduled for 2030 at a new 6km circuit in Bugesera, located 40km south of Kigali. The deal, announced by F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali and Rwandan President Paul Kagame, aims to expand F1's global footprint and boost local infrastructure.
