Hollywood Burbank Airport Launches $1.3 Billion Terminal After Decades-Long Delay
Hollywood Burbank Airport opened its new 355,000-square-foot terminal on October 13, 2026, replacing a 1930s-era facility that failed modern safety and seismic standards. The $1.3 billion project, approved by voters in 2016, features 14 gates, a single security checkpoint, and a new parking structure, while maintaining outdoor boarding without jet bridges.
